On July 20, 2018, young reporters from the Zhejiang branch of China Children's Newspaper visited the space-themed amusement park Dream East Future World, where nearly 200 teachers and students embarked on a mysterious journey to explore the future.

The event was jointly organized by China Children's Newspaper and Dream East Future World, aiming to enable the young reporters to learn about space knowledge and fully experience space science and technology culture through space exploration; and to inspire their creativity and guide them to embrace dreams and strive forward through dreamlike experiences.

The visit by the young reporters coincided with the official launch of the "Long March 2F Rocket Recovery Exhibit" at Dream East Future World. This special exhibition was grand in scale and marked the first large-scale rocket launch and recovery exhibit in China, providing a rare opportunity for the young reporters to view and interact with space-related artifacts up close.

The exhibit featured over 50 items, all recovered parts from the Long March 2F-Y11 rocket used in the "Shenzhou XI" mission, including rocket boosters, core stages, fairings, and engines. Notably, these items were assembled by aerospace experts according to the rocket’s structure, forming an almost complete Long March 2F rocket, measuring 43.44 meters in length (the full rocket is 58.3 meters long).

During the event, the young reporters listened attentively to the great development history of China’s and the world’s space programs; learned about the work and life skills of astronauts aboard the International Space Station; joined the “Fuel the Jade Rabbit” mission to embark on a lunar exploration journey with the “Jade Rabbit”; and cultivated new synthetic plants in the Gene Center, experiencing the joy of invention and creation... After the experiences, the young reporters shared their knowledge of space culture based on what they had learned, attracting many visitors to gather around and learn.

The young reporters concluded their day with a “Space Knowledge Quiz Competition.” The children expressed that they had spent a fun and fulfilling day there—not only seeing real rocket recovery parts but also challenging themselves and learning a lot of professional space knowledge. Learning through play and playing through learning was a lot of fun. They hoped to visit Dream East Future World again with their parents in the future.

Dream East Future World is China’s first and the world’s second space-themed amusement park. It is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, awarded the 2017 Skyscraper Award for “China’s Brand Indoor Amusement Park,” and listed by the Ministry of Culture as a “2015 Key Cultural Industry Project in China,” “2017 National Preferred Tourism Project,” “Top Ten Cultural Industry Projects in Hebei Province,” “Hebei Provincial Popular Science and Quality Education Base,” and an “External Educational Resource Unit for Beijing Primary and Secondary School Students in Hebei Province.” It houses more than 30 high-tech interactive experience projects, integrating space science and technology exhibitions, extracurricular science education, and tech-based entertainment. Visitors can learn and understand space science and technology knowledge while enjoying tours, entertainment, and interactive experiences, and feel the charm of space technology.
