The popular café Howdii Coffee started in 2013 and managed to open three branches in downtown Taipei within just three years, becoming a beloved spot for afternoon tea among many, including celebrity Guo Shu-yao. In an interview, she exclusively revealed her favorite dishes and drinks, saying she most often visits the oldest branch in Songshan, “I really come here to eat all the time!”
Among the dishes recommended by Guo Shu-yao are mildly spicy Thai-style stir-fried clams, various types of rice noodles, and chicken cutlet rice. When it comes to beverages, she mostly opts for healthy options. She also introduced these popular items that customers often order.

The stir-fried pork is first marinated in pickled vegetable juice, resulting in a moderate level of spiciness, a very refreshing taste, and no greasy feeling. Although "stir-fried pork" might sound like a heavy flavor, when the dish was first launched, some customers actually said it was “too strong.” It has now been adjusted to a flavor that most people can enjoy. Paired with cucumber slices and a small piece of lemon, the texture is actually quite refreshing.

Beef Cheese Sandwich
The bread feels soft mainly because the chef warms it directly on an iron plate with butter, giving it a slightly crispy texture. Only after this step are the other ingredients added and baked, and the cheese is added last. The beef is made from sirloin slices that are stir-fried before being placed inside the bread, making for a very tasty bite. It’s also served with a side of salad and potatoes to make the meal more balanced nutritionally.

Bubble Tea Mini Cronuts
This dessert is arguably Howdii Coffee’s signature item. In a small cup, it includes mini cronuts, black tea custard, and milk ice cream, along with freshly made pearls daily—an incredibly satisfying treat. The ingredients, such as the pearls and mousse, are all freshly made every day, and the preparation doesn’t take too long—just about five minutes to have this popular item ready.

Detox Juice
The detox juice is made by blending a whole carrot and an apple, mixed with fresh pineapple juice, with no added water or sugar. The sweetness mainly comes from the apple. Interestingly, the apple also dilutes the flavors of the carrot and pineapple, making it very smooth to drink.
