The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Russia, and many hotels and restaurants jumped on the bandwagon by not only live-streaming popular matches but also launching exclusive themed meals and beer promotions, allowing football fans in Taiwan to join in the excitement.

1. TGI FRIDAYS
TGI FRIDAYS launched a series of World Cup-themed events starting June 14. From in-store ambiance, limited-edition meals, themed activities to exclusive giveaways, everything ties into the World Cup. To cater to the photo-taking craze, themed selfie zones, face-painting with national flags, and an octopus prediction corner offering live match forecasts are also available, inviting fans to take part.

In addition, during the match period, business hours have been extended at eight outlets, with full live broadcasts of multiple matches. For knockout stage games, select restaurants including those in Xinyi, Linsen, Taoyuan, and Taipei City Hall will stream matches using limited-entry tickets, on sale starting June 14. Early bird tickets are NT$500 per person, redeemable in full for NT$550 worth of food and beverages.

2. Chili’s
Chili's offers newly launched limited-edition meals and exclusive cocktails from June 14 to July 15, along with several exclusive drinks, including alcohol-free options. Additionally, Chili’s has introduced an exclusive AR battle game, hosting World Cup summoning matches during lunch and dinner on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The winner with the most victories can take home a NT$500 gift voucher.

3. Golden Three Wheat
Taiwan’s Samsung Electronics has partnered with Golden Three Wheat restaurants for the first time. From now until July 15, nine selected Golden Three Wheat outlets across Taiwan offer an exceptional match-viewing experience with Samsung’s latest flagship QLED quantum TVs and 4K UHD large-screen TVs. Moreover, the Miramar branch offers an all-you-can-drink beer event, along with a champion prediction lottery for attendees on the day.
