Having been involved in high-rope jumping since 1997 with a total of 1,298 jumps and having instructed over 200,000 people, he has also participated in film, television, and commercial projects. For nearly 20 years, he has visited Taoyuan’s Fuxing District almost every week, growing deeply attached to this land. In his eyes, the North Cross route boasts an unspoiled and naturally beautiful landscape. The travel path stretches from Cihu to Xicun, where the mountain sunrise, sunset glow, and night skies all showcase the majestic beauty of untouched nature — all worth personally experiencing.

A native who has lived in the mountains for many years, Hu is engaged in the tourism service industry and has a special affection for nature and forests. He believes that God created all things, and that forests contribute enormously to humanity — such as soil and water conservation, climate regulation, and more. Both he and his wife love planting trees and running a restaurant. They enjoy living in remote mountain areas and savoring the leisurely daily life of warmth in winter and coolness in summer.

Since the opening of the “Skywalk,” hailed as the most romantic scenic spot in Taiwan in 2011, Xiaowulai has become one of the most intriguing and sought-after destinations for travelers in Northern Taiwan. With its minimalist geometric design and transparent glass-bottom structure, the bridge allows visitors to stand on a 70-meter-high glass platform above the waterfall base and gaze at the stunning scenery of the surrounding valleys from a completely new perspective. The visual thrill provided by the transparent glass beneath your feet adds a uniquely stimulating sensory experience.
The 70-meter-long [Sky Rope Bridge] is one of the longest rope bridges in Taiwan.
Nearby the Skywalk lies the “Wind-moving Rock,” geologically referred to as a “balanced rock.” Once an awe-inspiring natural wonder with a moving backstory, it was formed from volcanic ash ejected millions of years ago during an eruption. Weighing over fifty tons and standing about 5 meters tall, the rock has balanced on just 0.5 square meters of base area atop the Xiaowulai Waterfall for years, withstanding natural disasters such as the 921 Earthquake and Typhoon Nari. Unfortunately, in July 2013, it finally succumbed to the torrential rains brought by Typhoon Soudelor, causing the long-weathered rock strata to erode and collapse onto the riverbed below. Even so, it continues to capture our attention and stands as a testament to one of nature’s oldest wonders.
