As Christmas approaches, the festive atmosphere is building up everywhere. In northern Taiwan, aside from the New Taipei City Christmasland, Xinyi District in Taipei City is another must-visit dating hotspot brimming with Christmas cheer every year. This year, the district’s Christmas decorations range from girlish vibes and cozy joy to European romance—each spot is so Insta-worthy you’ll want to snap non-stop. Best of all, they’re all within walking distance, so make sure to check them out before Christmas!

1. Outdoor Plaza on the 2nd Floor, Uni-President Department Store

The outdoor plaza of Uni-President Department Store at Taipei Main Station is decked out in a heartwarming Christmas setup this year. The pink carousel full of girlish charm, colorful hot air balloons, and romantic lights attract crowds eager to snap photos. The vibe is totally different in the day and at night—you’ll want to shoot at both times before leaving!

2. Back Entrance of Uni-President Department Store

Don’t let the outdoor plaza steal all the thunder—the giant LEGO Christmas installation art between Uni-President Department Store and Eslite Bookstore is also a must-see. A huge LEGO castle, LEGO train, and LEGO Christmas tree make it feel like stepping into a child’s toy kingdom. There’s also a snow-white cabin nearby, and the Christmas tree on its wall makes for some incredibly photogenic shots!

3. Bellavita Shopping Mall

This year, Bellavita Shopping Mall has carefully curated an “ultra-dreamy Christmas scene” with a Nordic theme as its centerpiece. The central courtyard is adorned with relevant holiday elements and dotted with pristine white snow, making you feel like you’ve arrived in Santa’s hometown. Walking on snowy ground surrounded by charming countryside-style wooden houses, this is a hot photo spot in Xinyi District you can’t miss!

4. Strasbourg Christmas Market
