Exit Highway 3 at Nantou Zhongliao Interchange (228 Nantou)

Go straight after exiting the interchange (Xinyi Street) toward Provincial Highway 14B

Turn left onto Xinyi Street onto Provincial Highway 14B (Zhongxing Road)

About 800m to 7-11, then turn right toward Nantou Winery

(Dongshan Road) County Road 22 – Go straight toward Longfeng Waterfall

Pass through a tunnel

Actually, the road signs are quite clear along the way (take County Road 22 to Longfeng Waterfall)

There’s a sign for Longfeng Waterfall at the intersection—please go right

After crossing the bridge, County Road 22 has very few forks

At 13.7km on County Road 22, turn left uphill

Head towards Qingshuiyan Temple.

Clear signage is provided along the way, so you won’t get lost—feel at ease.

There will definitely be directional signs at every turn.

It won’t take long to arrive at the camp entrance (the left side is the main camp office).

On Friday night, racing against the clouds, the sky was sparkling with stars.

The night view was enchanting, making one pause as if time had stopped (the night view on the right is Taichung, on the left is Caotun and Changhua).

This time, we also had the place to ourselves for a night drive, camping solo at the very front of the camp in the VIP area.

This zone only allows one tent and one living tent; nearby there are scenic stone tables and chairs (public facilities).

A reverse shot shows it more clearly (the VIP area requires longer extension cords).

The night view is truly, truly amazing.

Pausing here and sipping a cup of hot tea, all the fatigue of the week disappears. This week, you really could be just like me too, right?

Bottom level, first tier (large).

This area can accommodate 3–4 tents (large tents not allowed).

Water taps are very convenient ×2.

Safe power supply and light control switches.

Good drainage system with non-waterlogged grass.

Features you’d expect from a scenic campsite—I didn’t expect Yun... to offer such views.

There is surprisingly very, very little information about this campsite, yet it boasts such beautiful scenery.

A perfect campsite for night photography and long exposures—so stunning that you forget to sleep.

First tier (small), can accommodate ×2 tents.

Flat and soft carpet-like grass makes for very comfortable sleeping (water taps and toilets are shared outside).

To the left of the camp office are bathrooms and toilets, to the right are the kitchen and storage.

Large sinks available for both men and women, with hairdryers provided.

Extremely clean bathroom facilities.

As well as very clean toilet areas.

Men’s section (odor-free).

Small step at the bathroom entrance (convenient for disabled access).

Hot water in the bathrooms is very stable (family bathrooms with one men’s and one women’s toilet each).

Large freezer, refrigerator, and communal kitchen.

Behind the camp office, there are barbecue brick pits (please bring your own charcoal), as well as a shower room (one each for men and women).

Walk upwards to check out the upper campsite. Layer 2, entrance area

Each layer has portable waterproof decking boards (please return them to their original place after use)

It is recommended to stick mainly to the small tent zones, as they are more suitable

The third layer is a relatively large block, with cloud\? water accumulation treatment that has been maturing for a year and is highly completed.

In terms of scenery and views, this is an absolutely fantastic zone (cloud\锞肮圩畎舻囊磺?┘/p>

Exclusive toilets on the 3rd and 4th layers

This time, there were also some beginner campers from the south who booked the third layer

Even though it was their first camping trip and they encountered heavy rain and thick fog, it didn’t diminish their love for camping at all

Their gear was all borrowed from friends, and they had no tables or chairs, etc. (we’ve all been there, right?). Since there were no tarps or other rain shelters, aluminum foil X bamboo = makeshift tarp. Camping is all about going with the flow — that’s the mindset you and I need to learn

Entrance to the 3rd and 4th layer campsites (the 4th layer requires carrying gear up about 15–20 meters)

The 4th layer has two tents and one common area — just perfect

A very quiet little zone with trees where you can sleep in until noon (a dream for super heavy sleepers)

The 5th layer is currently planned as a family-friendly forest recreation area (focused on not damaging the terrain and preserving the natural mountain forest)

It’s said that under this patch of woods, there will eventually be a double-decker colorful slide and a scenic viewing platform

Current facilities include a splash pool (with spring water)

Can accommodate around 8–12 children for play and includes a sandpit

Seeing this recreation area, kids won’t be able to resist playing here for a while, right?
