The Lao Ye Hotel Group Expands to Taichung: Taichung Dayi Lao Ye Travelodge to Open in 2018

Dayi Construction and The Lao Ye Hotel Group held a partnership signing press conference today (the 7th), announcing their collaboration to build a new hotel, “Taichung Dayi Lao Ye Travelodge,” along Taichung’s Caotun Boulevard. This marks Dayi Construction’s first foray into the tourism industry and The Lao Ye Hotel Group’s debut in Taichung. The hotel is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Mr. Liao Nianqi, Chairman of The Lao Ye Management Consulting Company, noted that this collaboration represents The Lao Ye Hotel Group’s first brand licensing and management contract with Dayi Construction. The group has selected its latest youth-oriented brand, “The Place Lao Ye Travelodge,” which will adopt an art gallery concept to utilize the hotel space and resources in creating a local cultural platform, thereby strengthening the interaction among the hotel, travelers, and the local community.

Taichung Dayi Lao Ye Travelodge is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2018. The building’s design is helmed by renowned cross-strait architect Dai Yuzhe, who drew inspiration from the geometric characteristics of Taichung’s old and new urban textures, as well as the artistic and cultural exchanges around Caotun Boulevard. The 12-story main structure is expected to feature approximately 170 guest rooms.
