To ensure the safety of adventure travelers, the Quality Supervision and Management Department of the National Tourism Administration has issued the following warnings:
First, adventure travel enthusiasts should choose reputable and experienced adventure travel organizations, such as professional travel agencies, adventure associations, or mountaineering associations. If the adventure is self-organized, it is best to have a specialized adventure guide on hand to ensure professional and timely handling in case of emergencies.
Second, choose adventure activities and routes based on the environment of the destination, the difficulty level of the activities, and your own health condition. Adventure travel comes in many forms, such as desert exploration, jungle trekking, mountain off-roading, diving, etc. Travelers should make rational choices, and non-professionals should avoid participating in high-difficulty or high-risk adventures.
Third, enhance safety awareness for adventure travel and make comprehensive preparations physically, mentally, intellectually, and in terms of equipment. Before departure, pay attention to weather information at the destination, learn basic lifesaving knowledge, improve physical fitness, and ensure you have sufficient gear.
Fourth, prepare an emergency response plan before setting out. Design routes that stay as close to roads as possible to ensure rescuers can reach you promptly. Choose villages or mountaineering base camps as campsites whenever possible, and avoid camping unless necessary. If you feel unwell at any time, rest immediately and do not continue.
Fifth, adventure travel also has its "no-go zones" and "restricted areas." All travelers should exercise self-discipline and avoid going where they are not allowed. While adventuring, protect the natural and cultural environment—do not litter indiscriminately, and respect local customs, traditions, and religious beliefs.
Sixth, before traveling, consult professionals to purchase insurance tailored for adventure travel to protect your personal safety and property.
