▲It took Yougushiyeju six months to clear the overgrown land and open in August this year.

Hidden within Zhiba Art Village, Yougushiyeju just opened this August. The owner couple were formerly tour guides who traveled to many countries. By chance, they discovered the charm of the art village and decided to build their coffee dream here. Within half a year, they transformed the overgrown space, and thus Yougushiyeju was born.

▲Yougushiyeju combines travel, music, and coffee to create a cozy and laid-back dining space.

Blending travel, music, and coffee, the shop offers Italian pasta, desserts, and drinks. For those who want to try making coffee themselves, there’s also a “brew your own pour-over” option. Ms. Chen, the female owner, said that the coffee recipes were designed by professional instructors using carefully selected beans—so even first-timers can make great coffee.

▲The "brew your own pour-over" is a unique service at the shop, allowing even beginners to make good coffee.

A whole wall of bookshelves is sure to enchant any literary-minded visitor. Towering about two stories high—at around six or seven meters—the bookcase is truly the soul of the shop. "Our collection ranges from 'Dream of the Red Chamber' to 'The Little Prince', plus travel books... and countless others, all to fill a void in our hearts," the female owner laughed. To make it easier for customers to reach the books, the owners even installed a ladder, giving it a grandeur that rivals foreign libraries.

The outdoor space was meticulously crafted by the owner couple. A giant white birdcage, a succulent plant nursery, and floral arrangements decorate the ordinary corners, creating an idyllic dining environment.

As light filters through, sip on a cup of coffee while jazz music fills the air—it tastes even better. Even if just for a moment, it feels as though time has stopped, making it hard to leave such a comfortable place.
