Ducks by the Tamsui River get new outfits this season as green rapeseed fields transform the landscape

Seasonal transformation for the ducks in Tamsui. As winter approaches, the New Taipei City Government’s Riverside Engineering Office has dressed up the two adorable duck-shaped landscape installations with vibrant green rapeseed, while adorning their beaks with purple and red strings of flowers—giving them a whole new look.

Recently, the Riverside Office transformed the duck landscape park by the Tamsui River by dressing the duck motifs in fresh green rapeseed. They also accentuated the ducks’ eyes and beaks with purple and red flowers, blending seamlessly with the scenic riverside backdrop. Under the bright blue sky, the lush greenery radiates vitality. Visitors can walk among the landscape park to interact with the installations or stroll along the nearby levee-top walkway for an aerial view—making it a new hot spot for photos and leisure. With the floral attire on these riverside ducks, more surprising transformations await. Stay tuned, locals.

【Transportation Info for Duck Park】
1. From downtown within the dike, cross the “Zhongxing Levee-Crossing Footbridge” next to Zhongxing Bridge to reach the levee-top walkway by the Tamsui River, where you’ll find the “Duck Park” on the outer side of the dike.
2. From Huandao South Road in Sanchong (near the levee) –> enter the Riverside Park via the Zhongxiao Levee-Crossing Path (Zhongxiao Wharf) –> head upstream (toward Xinzhuang and Banqiao) for about 1.3 km (near Zhongxing Bridge) to reach the “Duck Park.”
