What were the top 10 most-searched food keywords by netizens in 2016? According to an analysis of keywords searched by members, OpenRice Taiwan found that the top three favorite foods among netizens were brunch, beef noodles, and matcha.

The most-searched food keyword by netizens was “brunch,” which has been a popular trend in Taiwan in recent years. Brunch generally refers to eating between breakfast and lunch, and the portion is usually more substantial than breakfast. The second most-searched keyword was beef noodles, which has been voted by CNN as one of Taiwan’s essential national snacks. Both braised beef noodles and clear-broth beef noodles have their own huge fan bases and dedicated followers.
