The Mushroom Forest Trail is a Dreamy New Highlight for Lake Light Art Season Check-Ins

Located in Shierliao Huiguang Village, Emei Township, Hsinchu, this is a local paradise where you can experience a delightful fusion of nature and culture. The Shierliao Land Art Festival held in May invited artists from Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, Taiwan, and more to co-create large-scale bamboo-woven land art installations. The illuminated night views are particularly enchanting.

Hsinchu County is famed for its bamboo production, so bamboo and rattan were chosen as the main materials. International bamboo weaving artists were invited to reside here for two months, using their ingenuity to create artistic pieces. Additionally, water hyacinths abundant in Emei Lake were used to craft light-based artworks, connecting art with the local environment.

These large bamboo-woven artworks can be admired alongside the lake scenery during the day, and become even more captivating when lit up at night, making them perfect for photos. In addition, to complement the Land Art Festival, events such as the Huiguang Night Market, the Sakizaya Tribe’s Lantern Lighting Prayer Ceremony, Firefly Season, and various art performances will also be held.
