1. Taipei – Ryuonoyu
Ryuonoyu is the oldest surviving Japanese-style public bath in Beitou, featuring a natural and simple style. It has one men’s and one women’s bath, both traditional nude-style (konyoku), and does not offer lodging. It provides high-quality, natural, and unprocessed blue sulfur spring water at affordable prices, attracting a loyal clientele of locals and hikers.

2. New Taipei – A Drop of Water Memorial Hall
During the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Japan, an old house in the Mikura community of Fukui Prefecture survived the disaster and became a symbol of hope and unity during post-earthquake reconstruction. After Taiwan’s 921 Earthquake, in recognition of the physical and emotional hardships endured by Taiwanese people rebuilding their homes, the Mikura community donated this historic house to Taiwan. It was named the A Drop of Water Memorial Hall, serving as a meaningful symbol of friendship between Taiwan and Japan.
