Japanese Railways Spot Taiwan!: Nankai Electric Railway Launches MeetColors Painted Train

The Taiwanese government, in order to promote Meet Colors Taiwan, has not only once again invited Masami Nagasawa to serve as the Taiwanese tourism ambassador to Japan, but also Taoyuan Metro has collaborated with Nankai Electric Railway to launch the Meet Colors painted train. The Rapit limited express train connecting Kansai Airport and Osaka has been decorated with the special paint job, and the train will be running from now until the end of September.

In recent years, the Taiwanese government has actively promoted tourism to Japan. To strengthen promotional efforts in the Kansai region, not only has it launched the limited “Travel Taiwan ↔ Osaka Ticket,” but it has also, in line with this year’s theme, collaborated with Nankai Electric Railway to launch the Meet Colors Taiwan painted train. The exterior of the Rapit limited express train features paintings of famous Taiwanese attractions including Daxi Old Street, Lalashan, and the Taoyuan Flower Festival.

Four companies — Taoyuan Airport, Taoyuan Metro, Kansai Airport, and Nankai Electric Railway — launched a limited “Travel” Taiwan ↔ Osaka” ticket in February. From now until August 31, buyers can exchange the ticket for a one-way ticket on the Taoyuan Airport ↔ Taipei Station Airport MRT, and a one-way ticket on the Kansai Airport ↔ Osaka Nankai Electric Railway limited express Rapit business class seat. Tickets can be redeemed until December 31.
