The world’s most beautiful kapok blossom avenue is in Taiwan — an 800-meter sea of fiery red blooms

The Lin Chupi Kapok Avenue in Baihe has been listed by a Spanish travel and leisure website as one of the world’s 15 most beautiful flower-walk avenues. Every March, when the kapok flowers are in full bloom, the miles-long crimson sea of blossoms always attracts many visitors to come and admire the flowers. This year, during the kapok flowering season, the Lin Chupi Kapok Avenue is also hosting the “2018 Kapok Blossom Season” event, featuring not only musical feasts and street performer shows but also opportunities for photo ops and flower viewing — definitely a great holiday travel destination.

The 2018 Kapok Blossom Season takes place from March 10 to April 8 during the flowering period, with different themed activities each week. These include performances by guzheng concerts and Chimei mandolin players, as well as a half-marathon and a DIY thousand-piece sushi event. Not only can visitors enjoy the unique experience of running beneath the kapok-lined avenue, but coming for photos, flower viewing, and music during the holidays is also incredibly relaxing.

In addition, to coincide with this Kapok Blossom Season event, special transport trains and increased service frequencies are operating on weekends to the kapok avenue during the flowering period. Traffic control measures are also in place: from 8 AM to 6 PM, vehicles will be prohibited from entering the flower-viewing area. Visitors arriving by car can park along nearby Route Nan 88 or 89, then walk about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the flower-viewing zone.
