The tulip season is here again！Taichung’s Houli Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market has launched its annual tulip season on the 28th, featuring 200,000 tulips of up to 40 varieties imported from Europe. This year, they’ve also specially introduced the rare and unique red double-petal Pirate Tulip, filling the park with colorful blooms and turning the European-style garden into a romantic wonderland. The flowers will bloom in succession from now until the end of March—flower lovers, don’t miss out！

This year’s tulip season opened just before New Year’s Eve. Although the warm winter caused nearly one-third of the first batch of tulips arriving in Taiwan to be damaged, fortunately, the flower market had sufficient reserves, allowing the exhibition to proceed as scheduled. The market specially designed a “Fairy Tale Tulips, Joyfully Welcoming the New Year” event, officially heralding the start of the tulip season amidst a festive, fairy-tale atmosphere.

This year marks the 13th anniversary of the Houli Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market, allowing tulip enthusiasts to enjoy up to 400,000 blooms of various types without traveling to the Netherlands. These include flowers in red, yellow, white, purple, pink, and bi-color, among many others. In addition to the buzz around the red double-petal Pirate Tulip this year, a white double-petal Vindoria tulip is expected to be exhibited next week, and in March, the black Black Queen and ice cream tulips will make their appearances—something to look forward to！
