The “Left Bank Cultural Backpacker” position has no restrictions on age or gender, does not require academic credentials or licenses — all you need is to be ready to be a backpacker. This job emphasizes super flexible working hours, low stress, minimal labor, high romance index, and high living convenience. The nature of the work is comparable to that of the Great Barrier Reef Island Caretaker, and the ultra-luxurious compensation is arguably the most dreamy working opportunity of the summer. The selected winner will only need to execute and share their personal Left Bank travel plan with the public over 30 working days, and will receive compensation from Café de Left Bank worth over NT$500,000 for one month, including round-trip airfare, full accommodation at five-star hotels, and a 100,000 euro stipend.

For the “Left Bank Cultural Backpacker” selection, the organizers have specially invited renowned travel writer and photographer Wen Shikai, who has worked in professional travel writing and photography for 16 years, to share insider tips on writing a travel plan. At the same time, four popular bloggers — Emma, Brother Worker, Kelly, and Katie — will also compete online first to warm up for this dreamy position. The public can go online to vote and decide which blogger will head to Left Bank.

The selection event runs from now until July 9, selecting a total of 2 winners who will depart for Left Bank on August 8 for 30 days. Participants only need to upload a creative travel plan themed around Left Bank on the event website. The public will vote to select 30 of the most popular and creative applicants, then between July 19–21, six finalists will be selected in the semi-finals, and finally, two winners will be chosen through interviews conducted by the organizers, with the results announced on July 22. In addition, those who vote using receipts will also have a chance to win great prizes such as round-trip tickets from Taipei to Paris on EVA Air, HP printers, and limited-edition Left Bank notebooks.
