In summer, Lalashan is not only home to towering, lush sacred trees, but also boasts fragrant and sweet peaches that are simply irresistible. Especially during the harvest season, heading to Lalashan to pick and buy peaches has become a wildly popular activity for everyone. This year’s “Lalashan Peach Season” specially offers three major “Peach Joys” to the public. Just follow the scent of peaches to Taoyuan for food, fun, and adventure, and you can also experience a journey through the mountains, waters, and starry skies of the indigenous countryside, making this summer full of endless surprises!

The first of the three major “Peach Joy” perks is the peach exhibition and sales events in Taipei’s Da’an District and Taoyuan’s Cihu. To ensure the public can shop with confidence, the Taoyuan County Government has specially organized these peach sales events. From now until July 18, every Saturday and Sunday at the Cihu Parking Lot, as well as on the consecutive holidays of June 26–27 and July 3–4 at Taipei’s Da’an Forest Park, you can purchase authentic, high-quality Lalashan peaches.

With summer vacation approaching, the Taoyuan County Government invites everyone to visit Lalashan to admire the magnificent cypress and sacred tree forests. The second “Peach Joy” perk is that from now until September 15, on weekdays (Monday to Friday), visitors to Lalashan and Xiaowulai Scenic Area can enjoy free admission, allowing them to not only purchase or pick peaches directly from the source, but also experience the natural ecology, sacred trees, indigenous culture, and local cuisine in the largest eco-classroom in northern Taiwan.

To promote local tourism, the Taoyuan County Government specially invited several travel agencies to experience the beauty of Lalashan firsthand and jointly launched exclusive tour packages, offering visitors a chance to enjoy the purity of the indigenous countryside, mountains, waters, and starry skies — the third “Peach Joy.” A total of 11 travel agencies, including EasyTravel, Southeast Travel, Lion Travel, and Cola Travel, have launched exclusive tour packages starting now, with daily departures available as long as the minimum group size is met. The county government has also introduced the Lalashan Starry Sky Learning Tour, which runs every Saturday and Sunday from June 19 to July 31 at the Shangbaling Parking Lot in Fuxing Township. Professional stargazing guides will distribute star wheels for free, allowing you to admire Lalashan’s clearest, light-pollution-free night skies.

The county government will also launch a photo upload campaign called “The Most Peach Joyful Moment” on its event website. Just snap your most charming expression and upload it online to share your delightful mood with everyone.
