In the afternoon when you’re tired from shopping, you can enjoy some Portuguese egg tarts, pastries, and an afternoon tea, living the life of a leisurely lady. In the evening, take a stroll along the Fisherman’s Wharf to admire the sea view of the South China Sea and the west coast of Nam Van Lake, sip drinks at Dynasty Bar, and end the day at a luxurious hotel. • Today’s itinerary: Taoyuan International Airport → Macau International Airport → Margaret’s Café e Nata → New Yaohan Department Store → Robuchon a Galera → Shopping at The Venetian Macao → Macau Fisherman’s Wharf → Red 8 Congee & Noodles → Dynasty Bar Area

• Morning Stop 01: Margaret’s Café e Nata

• Margaret’s Café e Nata is one of the most famous spots for Portuguese egg tarts on the Macau Peninsula. Conveniently located in the city center, it’s easily accessible, and many tourists make a special trip here to buy several boxes before leaving Macau. Outside the café, there are large sun umbrellas where diners can sit at outdoor tables, sipping coffee while enjoying their egg tarts. The egg tarts here have slightly thicker crusts than those in Portugal, but they are still crispy, with a soft filling and a slightly burnt crust. Due to the high customer turnover, you’re more likely to get freshly baked, aromatic egg tarts.

• Morning Stop 02: New Yaohan Department Store

• New Yaohan Department Store is the only large department store in Macau. Originally located next to the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal, it moved to Avenida Comercial de Nam Van in 2008. Floors B1 to 5 house cosmetics and men’s and women’s fashion. On the 7th floor, the Ladurée Bakery is known for its fresh and delicious bread, as well as imported Italian pasta and various sauces. When you’re tired from shopping, head up to the 8th-floor food court, which offers a variety of cuisines including Cantonese, Japanese, and Macanese dishes, allowing you to feast to your heart’s content.

• Afternoon Stop 01: Robuchon a Galera

• Under the prestigious banner of “Michelin Legend – Robuchon,” this chef opened his first restaurant, Jamin, in Paris in 1981 and was immediately awarded one Michelin star. Each year thereafter, he earned an additional star, becoming the fastest in history to achieve three stars. The Michelin Guide even named him the Chef of the Century. For foodies, tasting the cuisine of Mr. Robuchon is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Although Robuchon a Galera at the Hotel Lisboa is not personally helmed by Robuchon, all menus are carefully selected under his guidance and managed by his protégé Frankcky Semblat, and it still receives extremely high praise.

  • Don’t think that The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel is just for accommodation and gambling. Its “Grand Canal Shoppes” is even larger than many department stores. The mall features three artificial canals running through it, and it houses every luxury brand you can think of. There’s even a passageway that connects to the shopping promenade inside the Four Seasons Hotel Macao.
