Fun Summer, Fun with Cows – Chulu Ranch’s Summer Grazing Festival
Taiwan’s Taitung Chulu Ranch, beloved by families, has launched its “Fun Summer, Fun with Cows” series this summer, inviting visitors of all ages to join the adorable dairy cows on the lush green fields for some cow herding fun; there are also daily equestrian demonstrations and street performer acts, allowing everyone to enjoy a joyful summer under the blue sky, white clouds, and endless grasslands.

Covering approximately 72 hectares, Taitung Chulu Ranch boasts verdant lawns and expansive views, making it the largest sloped pasture in Taiwan. In the grazing area, you can see black-and-white Dutch dairy cows leisurely grazing on the lush grass or resting under the trees. The ranch is also adorned with various cute cow-shaped art installations. From now until August 29th, visitors can watch the “Milking Show” at 09:30 and 15:30 daily in the Cute Animals Area, getting up close with the mother cows. Additionally, the ranch is home to tall, majestic horses. Every morning, Coach Lin Zengxiong, known as the “Father of Equestrianism” in the industry, conducts equestrian demonstrations where visitors can learn about horse behavior and how to interact with them.
Fed on alfalfa grass, the ranch produces fragrant and rich Chulu Fresh Milk, which is used to make fresh dairy delights such as milk, popsicles, ice cream, and milk steamed buns. Few visitors can resist the tempting aroma. Aside from the various dairy treats, Chulu Milk Coffee is also a must-try. During the summer event, there are daily coffee roasting demonstration sessions in the afternoon, where you can learn about the entire process from coffee bean husking and dehulling to roasting. Meanwhile, two street performer shows are held daily, offering visitors an extra layer of auditory enjoyment at the ranch.

Each morning, the ranch also offers fun competitions such as “Good Nose Game, Centipede Race, Milk Drinking Contest, and Horse Shoe Toss,” all available for on-site registration. These activities invite everyone to show off their skills, with a new competition each day. The top three winners in each contest can take home prizes.
