Create art at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts' "Scribble & Doodle" summer studio workshop

Is visiting an art museum only for admiring masterpieces? Not at all—both adults and kids can become painters too. To complement the "Manet to Picasso" exhibition, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum has set up an imaginative Impressionist artist's studio. The public can enter for free and join the "Scribble & Doodle 'Summer Studio Workshop'" to create their own one-of-a-kind artworks.

The "Scribble & Doodle 'Summer Studio Workshop'" focuses on still-life and portrait painting. With the on-site spatial setup, objects, and lighting, visitors feel as if they’re in an actual artist’s studio, immersing themselves in the homey atmosphere of Impressionist painters. Here, you can arrange objects yourself, create a sense of spatial composition, and complete your own piece—enjoying the rare experience of being an artist. Both adults and children can hang their artwork on-site, becoming part of the studio.

The event runs until August 27, every Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 16:30, operating on a first-come-first-create basis. The 14:00–15:00 slot is reserved for school group bookings, which must be reserved in advance.
