Creative and Diverse Architectural Exploration – "Good Times Public Art Festival"

The first wave of works, the temporary art installation project "Invisible Time" – the video VJ show "Flowing Time · Memory", kicks off the art festival. It projects colorful lights onto buildings, with 13 temporary artworks scattered across the National Taiwan Museum system area. These include Japanese artist Takahiko Suzuki’s "Process" (inside the National Taiwan Museum), Japan’s Paramodel’s "Paradise Model", Germany’s Aram Bartholl’s "Google Map Marker" (at the Railway Ministry Park), local artist Liu Herjang’s "Summer Carpet 16–38", You Wenfu’s "Strolling Through Old Times" (at 228 Peace Park), Huang Lanya’s "Splashing Water" (in the pond at 228 Peace Park), Qiu Zhaocai’s "Bubble Tower" (in front of the National Taiwan Museum), Lee Wen-Cheng’s "Distant Train" (in the small parks on either side of the museum), Cui Yong[?’s "Let’s Go to Taipei City" (on the curtain wall of the Railway Ministry building), and Li Guomin & Chen Xingjun’s "Ozone Brew?" (inside and behind the National Taiwan Museum).

In addition to enjoying the artworks, on September 18 and 19 from noon to 9 PM, there will be the "Good Times Good Shopping" creative market. The most important element of the market—the burlap sack—is used to mark the origin, flavor, capacity, and ingredients of each vendor. Rice sacks printed with representative patterns of factories and shops are deconstructed and reassembled into new creative installations, forming an intriguing market display that allows visitors to feel an intimate connection with the diverse industrial cultures of the city as they participate.
