Hfc Fashion Boutique Hotel Opens as Singapore’s Shopping and Entertainment Hub
Singapore’s Fort Canning Park is a popular venue for cultural performances, featuring the former private residence of a jazz musician and the site of Singapore’s earliest government buildings. After undergoing renovation, it has been transformed into a fashion boutique hotel—Hotel Fort Canning (Hfc), which is set to open in October. Guests who check in before the end of the year can enjoy suites at a promotional rate of just S$275.
The building that houses Hfc was originally the British Far East Command headquarters during World War II. Carefully restored by the architectural team DP Architects, it retains many original features, exuding colonial-era nostalgic charm. The hotel enjoys a prime location between Orchard Road’s shopping district, Clarke Quay’s entertainment hub, and the Central Business District. It offers 86 distinctive boutique rooms and suites, providing guests with premium services and facilities. Positioned as an oasis away from the hustle and bustle, it is poised to become one of Singapore’s most sought-after hotels.
The hotel features a “modern Asian” style bistro, the Private Lounge, the Hotel Fort Canning Spa, a gym, a mineral water pool, and banquet halls. As for room amenities, each guest room is furnished with a selection of award-winning designer pieces, including those by Poltrona Frau. The bathrooms are equipped with products from the Thai skincare and spa brand Thann Spa. All guests can enjoy 24-hour round-the-clock concierge services, including booking concert tickets, flights, arranging city tours, and providing translation services. Notably, hotel staff are equipped with the latest iPad tablets, allowing guests to get in touch via text message, email, or phone for a superior and efficient service experience.
