The world is in an era of rapid technological advancement, where precious historical materials and information have new possibilities for preservation and sharing. The "Memories of Tomorrow – Exhibition of Achievements from the 98th Annual Open Call for Digital Content Projects" showcases unlimited potential before 9/26, presenting the digital achievements of various projects over the past year through different thematic exhibition areas such as "Faces," "Traces," "Landscapes," and "Presence."

The "Taiwan Digital Archives Expansion Project" is one of the initiatives under the "National Digital Archives Program and Digital Learning Program." It is dedicated to building and presenting the diversity of Taiwan’s cultural, social, and natural environments through digital content. The "Open Call for Digital Content Projects" is also open annually to various archival institutions, public and private research organizations, to systematically digitize and utilize materials on specific themes. Meanwhile, the project’s online platform "Digital Island" aims to showcase the rich tapestry of Taiwan’s local humanities, biology, and natural environment through collective participation and sharing by the public.

The "Memory of Faces" exhibition area focuses mainly on audio displays, including literary interviews by writers, performances of rare and renowned musical pieces, renditions of works by Hsu Tsang-Houei and Tyzen Hsiao, as well as the singing of Austronesian and Tao songs. These are supplemented by highlights from the puppetry performances of Li Tien-lu, using the most direct "on-site recordings" to guide the public in understanding the characteristics of each project and their digital achievements. "Memory of Traces" takes the natural appearance of Taiwan as its theme, showcasing the diversity of Taiwan’s mountains, rivers, and landforms through specimens, documents, and illustrations from different eras. "Memory of Landscapes" conveys unique spatial concepts across different eras, regions, and people by comparing 3D panoramic/VR panoramic views with replicated architectural structure models. "Memory of Presence" displays digitized images, as well as reproductions of church bulletins in vernacular script and contractual documents. It also features a set of baseball gloves to evoke the fervor and dedication of live matches, documenting the diverse foundations of politics, economy, society, and religion in different eras.

In the "Digital Island" exhibition area, works by renowned photographers, historical and cultural studios, and art creators will be introduced, using imagery to explore local life experiences. Additionally, award-winning works from the "A Hundred Trades in Focus – 5th Digital Island Photography Competition 2010" will be exhibited. The aim is to use themed photography competitions to collect content from the public on Taiwan’s mountain and ecological landscapes, social activities, architectural scenes, and more, continuously revitalizing this island organically.
