In today’s M-shaped society, there are no shortage of disadvantaged families. As the Mid-Autumn Festival stirs thoughts of loved ones, Qiu Jing, operator of Taiwan Film Culture City, shared that he remembers his own childhood of modest means. Now, having built a successful career from scratch, he aims to encourage low- to middle-income families under significant life pressure to visit the famed Taiwanese film set—the true face of Taiwan Film City—and enjoy a refreshing, stress-relieving outing in nature. Qiu emphasized that life is like a play, and a play is like life; temporary struggles do not define one’s future. Just as Taiwan’s economic miracle was forged by the perseverance and resilience of its pioneers.

Qiu noted that despite the prevalence of materialism and declining morals, Taiwan Film City seeks to promote gratitude and appreciation. He hopes this enlightening trip will help low- to middle-income families in Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan strengthen family bonds. No matter the challenges faced, having family as a support system and persisting with effort will eventually lead to brighter days. When one becomes self-reliant, they can contribute to fostering a warmer, more harmonious society.
