Joyful cross-cultural exchange at the Shilin International Cultural Festival
The annual "Shilin International Cultural Festival" will be held on October 2nd at 2:00 pm at Shidong Elementary School, bringing a splendid celebration of cultural exchanges from around the world. This year’s international cultural festival will not only feature performances and cuisines from various countries but also include traditional dances of Taiwan’s indigenous peoples and flower expo dolls, creating the unique atmosphere of an “international village.”

Shilin District has long been the area in Taipei with the highest concentration of foreign residents, hosting embassies as well as American, European, and Japanese schools. Therefore, the "Shilin International Cultural Festival" promotes internationalization in Shilin through cultural exchange. The event will feature performances such as Scottish dancing, Hawaiian hula dancing, jazz music, and Chinese street dance with face painting—truly something to look forward to!
In terms of food, there will be special dishes from Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Guatemala, Russia, Thailand, and France. Of course, Taiwan will also offer its traditional delicacies, guaranteeing a feast for the taste buds. All citizens are invited to enthusiastically join the series of events at the "2010 Shilin International Cultural Festival."
