The "Xinshe Flower Sea Festival" enters its sixth year this year, running from October 16 (Saturday) to November 7 (Sunday) in the year 99, covering four weekends, totaling 23 days.

The 2010 "Xinshe Flower Sea Happy Living 99 Good Mood" event kicks off on October 16 and 17, 99, at the Second Nursery of the Seed Improvement and Propagation Station. This year’s focus is centered around the theme of "Healthy Living in the Flower Sea," with the foundation built on "Quality Production, Happy Life, and Eco-Care." It integrates local resources from six mountain-sea-tun towns to jointly promote the development of leisure agriculture and the local economy in the central mountainous city area. The opening days on October 16 and 17 will feature special daytime colored smoke fireworks that will dye the sky with vibrant colors, presenting a 3D spectacle where the flower sea extends into the sky, creating a stunning opening. Both days will host performances by popular and idol singers—October 16 features Chang Hsiu-ching, Annie Dai, and the JinDouYun Band; October 17 includes COLOR and Hsiao Hung-jen, along with performances by YOYO Family artists and live flower sea singing by the Happy Living Band.

The organizing body, the Seed Improvement and Propagation Station, stated that this year’s focus is centered around the theme of "Healthy Living in the Flower Sea," with the foundation laid on "Quality Production, Happy Life, and Eco-Care." It integrates local resources from six mountain-sea-tun towns to jointly promote the development of leisure agriculture and the local economy in the central mountainous city area. In addition to a 30-hectare flower sea landscape, the flower sea exhibition area also features five major themed pavilions.

The Phalaenopsis Theme Pavilion showcases and explains the processes of Phalaenopsis tissue culture, seedling production, and DNA molecular marker development.

Council of Agriculture Minister Chen Wu-hsiung stated that this year’s planning core is "Healthy Living in the Flower Sea," connecting with the policies of "Rural Regeneration" and "Climate Change, Energy Conservation, and Carbon Reduction." With "Ecological Balance, Rural Life, and Quality Production" as the three main planning axes, through the displays in various themed pavilions, the design of agricultural leisure experience areas, and the continued planning of travel package itineraries, the core spirit of "Excellence, Health, and Happy Living" in sustainable agricultural development is implemented. This aims to bring the public closer, allowing them to experience diverse agricultural leisure activities and bring those experiences into their daily lives.
