Can you soak in hot springs for just 99 RMB? The 2010 Taiwan Hot Springs & Food Carnival has gathered promotional offers from 125 businesses, especially the “99 RMB for a Great Soak, A Great Soak That Lasts” campaign. During this year’s hot spring season (99/10/30~100/1/31), visit any of the 17 hot spring areas across Taiwan featured in the “2010 Hot Spring Discount Passport” for a chance to enjoy premium hot springs and delicious food at discounted prices.
To promote Taiwan’s hot spring and food culture, the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has issued the Taiwan Hot Springs & Food Passport for the first time this year. The “2010 Hot Spring Discount Passport” features detailed introductions to 17 hot spring areas across Taiwan, each with recommended two-day itineraries. In other words, the “2010 Hot Spring Discount Passport” clearly outlines discount offers from 125 hot spring businesses nationwide. In line with the “99 RMB for a Great Soak, A Great Soak That Lasts” campaign, on any date during the hot spring season that includes the number 9, you can enjoy a 99 RMB early morning hot spring soak at specific establishments—there are 9 such special days throughout the season. Other discounts, with savings of up to around 50%, are also incredibly attractive.
The “2010 Hot Spring Discount Passport” was released on October 21st with 83,000 copies printed. Of these, 43,000 were distributed through TVBS’s “Food Hunter” magazine at 7-Eleven stores nationwide, while the remaining 40,000 will be given out at the bureau’s various tourist service centers and related scenic area management offices for the public to collect.
