Traditional art is not only a witness to the changing times but also carries rich cultural significance. With modern innovative designs, it can take on a completely different look. The “Chiayi Creative Culture Park – Come to Chiayi for New Art” event, starting from 11/12, combines heritage, innovation, and artistic enjoyment. It features six major thematic highlights and three phased activities and performances, allowing the public to rediscover traditional arts.

【2010 Come to Chiayi for New Art】features six major thematic events, including traditional arts experience workshops, an exhibition on wine culture, a tea & lifestyle design exhibition, an exhibition on innovative design in traditional arts, a Chiayi craft aesthetics exhibition, and an exhibition showcasing the innovative incubation achievements of the arts and culture industry. Through five aspects—performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, lectures, and creative cultural markets—the first wave of the event, “Past · Future – Chiayi Craft Aesthetics Exhibition,” and the second wave, “Great Performances · Fine Wines & Teas,” were held on 10/30 and 11/12 respectively. They featured performances of traditional operas and puppet shows by well-known domestic groups and received an enthusiastic response.

The third wave of thematic events runs from Friday, November 12 to Sunday, December 5. In collaboration through industry-academia partnerships, Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation, Yunlin University of Science and Technology, and the Taiwan Cultural and Creative Development Foundation present themes such as the “Aroma of Wine Cultural Value-Added Experience Exhibition,” “Reimagined Traditional Arts & Innovative Design Exhibition,” and “Tea & Lifestyle Design Exhibition.” These enrich the Chiayi Creative Culture Park, offering the public the enjoyment of wine and tea culture and artistic innovation. Additionally, creative markets and outdoor performances are held every Saturday and Sunday on the central street of the park, providing visitors with various forms of entertainment beyond their cultural experiences, filling Chiayi with a vibrant artistic atmosphere.
