The 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition is in full swing. In response to the event, Japan’s Shinyoen and the Fashion & Media Design Institute of Shih Chien University have created the large-scale botanical sculpture “Planting Blessings Flower Rabbit.” Combining the spirit of traditional religion with modern art, this piece is located at the entrance plaza of the Lequn Pavilion and welcomes visitors to come and see.

The “Planting Blessings Flower Rabbit” botanical sculpture is a collaborative work led by Professor Qu Jiarui, known as the “Spicy Female Professor,” along with students from Shih Chien University. It resonates with the Flora Expo’s message of valuing the environment and living in harmony with nature. To welcome the Lunar Year of the Rabbit in 2011, the design centers on a rabbit and has been warmly received by children.

The unveiling ceremony of the “Planting Blessings Flower Rabbit” also invited local community members to participate in planting, setting an excellent example for community greening. It symbolizes that after the Goma fire burns away people’s troubles, the depths of the soul are purified, giving rise to radiant blooms. The artwork is located at the entrance plaza of Shinyoen’s Lequn Pavilion (No. 310, Lequn 3rd Road, Taipei City).
