Christmas at the Flower Expo: Costume Show & Broadway Extravaganza

For performing arts, there will be 50 Christmas shows. The “2010 Christmas Broadway” will bring dynamic performances to the Mobile Dome in the Dajia Riverside Park area, featuring modern ballet pieces performed by dancers from the Water Shadow Dance Troupe dressed in Christmas attire, inspired by the classic ballet “The Nutcracker.” Jazz enthusiasts shouldn’t miss “Silent Night with Sylvia Chang,” a series of delightful Christmas jazz suites for a splendid musical experience. Meanwhile, every afternoon at the Dream Garden in the Xinsheng Park area, a hilarious clown troupe will perform, delivering a unique Christmas gift. From December 27 to January 2, 2011, the New Form Creation Troupe will present the “Clown Carnival,” including hat juggling challenges, ball-balancing stunts, fancy chair balancing acts, and balloon-twisting workshops—offering a rare Christmas carnival experience.

Additionally, to celebrate with visitors, the “Floral Christmas – Celebrating the Expo” Costume Show will kick off on December 24 with exciting stage giveaways throughout the event. The event features two costume categories: 〈A Group〉 Red & Green Flower Elves, and 〈B Group〉 Best KUSO Christmas Concept. Participants can join by simply filling out an entry form on-site. All contestants will receive a floral Christmas instant photo, and the first 100 registrants will get a S$600 Chocolatier chocolate. In the 〈B Group〉, the top 5 Best KUSO Christmas Concepts, voted by 40 audience members and 10 Flower Expo judges, will advance to the finals for the top three spots. The first-place winner will receive NT$5,000, second place NT$3,000, and third place NT$2,000. The top three will also receive exclusive Flower Expo plush toys and a poinsettia plant as additional prizes.
