Become a Korea travel expert and explore Busan on your own

Traveling to Korea doesn’t have to cost a fortune, and in recent years it has become a popular holiday destination for locals. However, most travelers who prefer independent trips tend to choose Seoul, while fewer venture to other places like Busan. The Korea Tourism Organization specially held a “Korea Independent Travel—Busan Lecture” on 1/28, inviting a native of Busan, South Korea, to deliver fascinating content and help Korea enthusiasts become travel experts too！

Busan is South Korea’s second-largest city and largest port, brimming with diverse cultures. The traditional Jagalchi Market offers freshly caught seafood; along the coastline of Haeundae, there are numerous design-forward cafes and quirky LOUNG BARs where visitors can lazily enjoy a foreign-feeling sunny afternoon in this coastal city. The magnificent Gwangan Bridge stretching across the sea adds a unique charm to Busan’s nights. The annual Busan International Film Festival in October shines with star power. Plus, Asia’s largest department stores like Shinsegae and Lotte, as well as areas such as the foreigner-friendly Choryang Street, Nampo-dong, the International Market, and Seomyeon Market, offer endless fun, exploration, and shopping opportunities.

The speaker for this lecture is Mr. Genjo Motoyoshi, currently an assistant Japanese language professor at Busan University of Foreign Studies. With a Chinese father and Korean mother, he will introduce the most authentic Busan cuisine and delve into the deepest aspects of Busan’s culture and people. The organizers will invite 80 friends to join the event, where they can relax while listening to the lecture and enjoy free coffee and delicate refreshments.
