As the seat of the Roman Catholic Church, Easter celebrations here are naturally lively. Coupled with the mild climate, Rome is a perfect destination for Easter. On Holy Thursday (April 21), the Pope will preside over Mass at St. Peter’s Square, with events continuing through Easter Sunday.

Easter celebrations in London have a strong secular flavor, with a wide variety of events. The most famous is the Easter egg hunt, where chocolate eggs of all sizes are hidden in park flower beds, waiting to be found. This year, Prince William’s royal wedding also falls during the Easter holiday, making London especially bustling.

Chocolate eggs and rabbits are essential elements of Easter in Australia and also a great time for Sydney residents to experience rural life. Over two weeks, the Sydney Royal Easter Show offers activities like horse riding, cattle judging, wood chopping, and sheep shearing. There’s also a large agricultural exhibition, featuring a petting zoo, carnival rides, sheepdog trials, and themed gift bags of toys and candy.
