The “Happy Stay. A Hundred Touching Moments” accommodation PK competition has concluded, with 10 of the most touching and happiest hotels and homestays finally selected. The second phase, the “Discover Your Happy Stay” nationwide writing contest, officially kicks off today (April 1). Members of the public can document their most touching and happy stay experiences through text, photos, or videos, share them online, and stand a chance to win the top prize of NT$100,000, as well as awards such as a two-person Eastern Taiwan travel package worth NT$40,000.

Kamic Homestay is located on a hillside between the tranquil areas of Nanwan (South Bay) and Houbihu (Backside Bay).

The top ten happiest accommodations in the “Stay at My Place – Most Touching PK Competition” were initially selected from 457 entries through an online vote. Ultimately, a panel of domestic travel experts and journalists, based on travel experience and undercover visits, chose the final ten winners, including awards for the Happiest Hotel and the Most Touching Homestay. The list of the Happiest Hotels includes five establishments: The Lalu Sun Moon Lake, Silks Place Yilan, Lide Buluowan Mountain Moon, Wuling Fuyeh Resort, and Xinxing Inn in Miaoli. The Most Touching Homestays include five: Fengchunyuan Vacation Villa in Yilan, Yun Dong Mountain Villa in Miaoli, Starlight Forest Homestay in Chiayi, Kamic Specialty Homestay in Kenting, and Migratory Birds Intertidal Zone Homestay in Penghu.

The Silks Place Yilan is also on the list of the Happiest Hotels.

The second phase, the “Discover Your Happy Stay” writing contest, is divided into an article category and a video category. The submission period runs from today until May 31, and the online voting is expected to take place from May 1 to May 31. Participants from both domestic and international backgrounds are invited to select one legally operating accommodation in Taiwan and submit their stories on what made their stay touching, the unique features of the accommodation, and how they experienced it — via articles, photos, or videos. Judging criteria include online support from netizens, expert evaluation, and whether participants personally visited and filmed at the accommodation. The highest-scoring entry in each category will win a cash prize of NT$100,000. The second to fifth highest-scoring entries in each category will receive a two-person, three-day-two-night Eastern Taiwan travel package worth NT$40,000.
