Celebrate China Airlines' entry into SkyTeam Alliance – Travel the world for just NT$100,000!

China Airlines held a ceremony yesterday (9/28) to officially join the SkyTeam Alliance, becoming its 15th member. As part of the alliance, passengers will now see China Airlines aircraft adorned with a blue ribbon and the words “SKY TEAM,” symbolizing seamless SkyTeam service, while all China Airlines passengers and members can immediately enjoy SkyTeam’s mileage accrual benefits starting today. To celebrate China Airlines' membership, the SkyTeam Alliance is offering discounted round-the-world tickets at approximately 20–25% off, allowing you to travel around the world for less than NT$100,000!

This round-the-world ticket product, jointly launched by the 15 airline members of the SkyTeam Alliance, offers passengers traveling from Taiwan between October 1 and November 30, 2011, the opportunity to create their own itinerary crossing the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The total distance must not exceed 24,000 miles, with 3 to 5 stopovers allowed, and travel must be completed between October 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, to qualify for the approximately 20–25% discount. For example, a trip starting from Taipei to visit India's Taj Mahal, Italy’s Colosseum, Vatican City’s St. Peter’s Basilica, Egypt’s Pyramids, the Arc de Triomphe in France, and New York’s Empire State Building before returning to Taipei can now be booked as an economy class round-the-world ticket for just NT$91,990 (excluding taxes).

In addition, China Airlines has introduced several special offers to mark the occasion, including: complimentary Hong Kong flights with the purchase of a round-the-world ticket; discounts of 12–3% for members purchasing first or business class tickets on the official website; “mileage match” promotions giving away one million miles; and social media mileage giveaways.
