A Zen space for all seasons～Huajì Cold Spring Resort

Huajì Cold Spring Resort features one of the world’s rarest carbonated cold springs. Originally a police sanatorium from the Japanese colonial era, it became the Dagangshan Hot Spring Inn after the retrocession, with its cold spring pool becoming a treasured memory for locals. After Quancheng Construction took over, Chairwoman Weng infused her delicate feminine sensibility to create a resort radiating Eastern Zen charm.

The resort retained the original structure of the Dagangshan Hot Spring Inn, renovating and refurbishing it while adding only one new main building. It also preserved the century-old magnolia trees and Araucaria trees in the garden, planted abundant osmanthus and frangipani, and created a dedicated herb garden cultivating both Eastern and Western herbs such as basil and perilla. The low shrubs along the pathways are seasonally rotated, ensuring a “flower season” all year round.

Upon entering, blooming floral motifs are the key decorative elements, complemented by Filipino wrought iron artworks, Li Yifei’s "Black Beauty" series paintings, and various vibrant color blocks. These blend with floral ceramic tiles and spatial design to jointly create an immersive, artistic atmosphere.

Guest rooms are divided into light, fresh color schemes for spring and summer themes, and deep, elegant tones for autumn and winter themes. Various solid wood lattice doors and windows enhance the Zen ambiance, along with steel-and-stone bathtubs for soaking. The overall space is spacious and comfortable, instantly putting guests at ease. Pure white silk duvets adorned with magnolia leaf patterns are soft and cozy, ensuring a good night’s sleep after a soak.
