Located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, Huis Ten Bosch features architecture, streets, and transportation all designed in the style of 17th-century Holland, making it the most iconic large-scale theme park in Kyushu. Along its 6-kilometer-long canal, the park is home to amusement facilities, museums, and unique hotels, adorned with seasonal flowers throughout the year, offering breathtaking views. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Huis Ten Bosch has recently held various grand events. The wildly popular One Piece real-life ship “Thousand Sunny” has been upgraded, and the park’s exclusive One Piece merchandise is a must-have treasure.

In addition, Nagasaki’s most famous specialty—honey cake—is best represented by “Nagasaki Susakiya Gomameyaki Honey Cake.” Made by the fifth-generation pastry chef of Susakiya, who has 50 years of experience, it uses carefully selected flour, eggs known as “sun eggs” whose yolks are firm enough to be picked up with chopsticks, Japan’s highest-grade sugar recognized in the dessert industry “Awa Wasanbon Sugar,” and hard-to-obtain fruit syrup “Aikawa Mizuame.” Due to the intricate production process, only 10 can be made each day.
