Father’s Day in Kaohsiung: Check-in for Free Mayday Goodies

Father’s Day promotions are rolling out across the country. Starting August 8th, when you travel to Kaohsiung, simply upload the text “I Love Traveling in Kaohsiung” along with a photo of yourself, a father-son, father-daughter, couple, or married pair posing with a clearly visible landmark at any attraction to your personal Facebook page. You can then exchange it at designated tourist service centers for a limited-edition “Mayday Travel Taiwan · Kaohsiung First Choice Lucky Bag.” On Father’s Day, the lucky bag will also include 88 additional vouchers for the “Love Boat,” tickets for the “Kaohsiung Harbor Cruise Dining Ship,” entry tickets to the “Black & White Hero South Precinct Bureau,” and “Mayday City Cups,” among other great giveaways.

During the summer vacation, many domestic and international backpackers visit Kaohsiung for travel and accommodation. From August 8th to August 23rd, backpackers can visit any of the six tourist service centers (i Centers) under the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau. By using a smartphone to display a check-in screen that meets the event criteria via the free “i-Taiwan” Wi-Fi service, they can exchange it for one limited-edition lucky bag. The bag includes a Mayday folder, postcards of Kaohsiung attractions, and a Kaohsiung gourmet handbook.
This check-in event coincides with Father’s Day, and additional limited-edition Father’s Day gifts have been introduced, including “Kaohsiung Harbor Cruise Dining Ship Tickets,” entry tickets to the “Black & White Hero South Precinct Bureau” film set, as well as “Mayday City Cups” and “Love Boat” tickets. Prizes will be randomly placed inside the lucky bags, giving visitors a chance to test their luck. Exchange locations for the tourist service centers include Kaohsiung Railway Station, Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station, Cijin Ferry Terminal, Love River, Formosa Boulevard, and Lotus Pond.
