TransAsia Airways offers promotional airfares: round-trip to Okinawa from NT$7,888

Travelers planning to visit Osaka or Okinawa are in luck! From now until the end of September, TransAsia Airways is offering discounted airfares for its Osaka and Okinawa routes. The promotional round-trip economy fare to Osaka is NT$9,888 per person, and to Okinawa is NT$7,888 per person. Before the end of September, passengers traveling in pairs to Osaka, Okinawa, or any of TransAsia Airways’ eight major destinations can also enjoy an upgrade to business class at promotional rates starting from NT$8,888 to NT$18,888 per person, depending on the destination.

According to statistics from the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the number of Taiwanese visitors to Japan in the first half of this year (2012) reached 730,000, an increase of nearly 50% compared to the same period last year. In response, TransAsia Airways is offering discounted airfares for its daily Osaka and Okinawa routes. Travelers departing before the end of September can enjoy a round-trip economy fare to Osaka at NT$9,888 (excluding tax) and to Okinawa at NT$7,888 (excluding tax), with ticket validity periods of 14 days and one month, respectively.

TransAsia Airways has also launched the “Premium Business Class Courtesy Campaign.” From now until September 30, travelers in pairs visiting any of TransAsia Airways’ eight major destinations—including Osaka, Hokkaido, Okinawa, Jeju, Busan, Sanya, Macau, or Singapore—can enjoy an upgrade to business class at courtesy rates starting from NT$8,888 to NT$18,888 per person (excluding tax), with a one-month ticket validity period. Travelers must depart from and return to the same point. Additionally, the first 2,000 passengers traveling to Osaka on TransAsia Airways from September 1 will receive a limited-edition ELMO-shaped phone charm from Universal Studios Japan when collecting their boarding pass and checking in luggage at Taoyuan Airport.
