Limited to 20 applicants — Travel Expo Citizen Journalist Selection Now Open for Registration

The 20th ITF Taipei International Travel Fair will be held from October 26 to 29 at the World Trade Center Halls 1 and 3. The selection for citizen journalists, now in its seventh year, will continue this year. The application period starts today and runs until September 16. Jointly organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association and domestic blog community platforms, the event aims to select 20 citizen journalists. Selected participants will not only receive an ITF Citizen Journalist Pass to cover the fair on-site, attend press conferences, and more, but will also have the opportunity to be invited for interviews both domestically and internationally.

This year’s citizen journalist selection runs from today until September 16. Major blog platforms including Wretch, udn Blogs, PC home Personal News Station, Sina Blogs, Xuite Blogs, Travel King Blogs, and Yam Sky Blogs are jointly hosting the selection. Bloggers from other platforms can also apply via the selection page on Xinmedia Street 2.0. Additionally, the organizing committee will select 5 senior influencers from previous citizen journalists, aiming to choose a total of 20 travel fair citizen journalists. The final list will be announced on September 21 on the official website and blogs of the 2012 Taipei International Travel Fair, with a one-year term lasting until the end of September 2013.

Each travel fair citizen journalist will be issued a press pass and a personalized business card by the Taipei International Travel Fair, allowing free access to the exhibition area for reporting and use of the press room during the event. During their term, citizen journalists may also be invited to cover events when invited by travel agencies, hotels, airlines, and other organizations.
