Experience the Miaoli Paiwan Ghost Festival with HowToTrip’s Special 99 NTD Discount Ticket Package

The biennial Paiwan Ghost Festival is set to take place at the end of November this year. As the most important traditional ceremony of the Saisiyat people, also known as the Pas-ta’ai Festival, the ritual begins in the evening at the sacred worship site near Xiangtian Lake. In the past, limited transportation options made it difficult for the public to participate in this grand indigenous celebration. To accommodate festival-goers, local bus operators will run 24-hour continuous services from 12:00 noon on November 30 to 12:00 midnight on December 3. A one-way trip costs 100 NTD. HowToTrip’s Nanzhuang Line, Xianshan Line, and Xiangtianhu Line are also offering a special 99 NTD ticket package, allowing the public to easily attend the exciting biennial Paiwan Ghost Festival and witness the mystical and solemn ceremonies of the Saisiyat people.

For the first time, the Miaoli County Government is coordinating with the Paiwan Ghost Festival to host a “Travel Experts Guide: Explore Nanzhuang with HowToTrip” bloggers’ meet-up on December 1st from 15:30 to 17:00 in front of the Nanzhuang Visitor Center Plaza. Attendees will each receive a complimentary 2013 “Beautiful Mountains and Clear Waters” limited-edition diary. They can also enjoy an exclusive preview of a traditional Saisiyat dance performance by the “Gaga O’an Cultural Tribe,” and take part in a prize quiz. Additionally, six well-known travel influencers — including Foodie Yunyun and Hai Shui Princess — will be on-site to share their experiences traveling with HowToTrip, covering everything from local delicacies on Nanzhuang Old Street to the mysterious charm of Xiangtian Lake and other hidden gems. Fans who register in advance can look forward to a one-on-one meet-and-greet with these travel experts. Moreover, the first 100 fans to sign up will receive an exclusive hand-drawn “Discover Nanzhuang, Taiwan” square scarf as a bonus gift.
