Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore will officially open on December 7, 2012, with a series of celebration events taking place over that weekend. Its second major attraction—Marine Life Park—will also make its debut. With a water volume exceeding 60 million liters and home to more than 100,000 marine animals from over 800 species, it will become the world’s largest aquarium.

This world’s largest marine aquarium will consist of two ticketed attractions—one offering a wet experience and the other a dry one. Adventure Cove Waterpark will be the only water park in the region that incorporates marine life elements, where visitors can enjoy splashing fun; while S.E.A. Aquarium will be the world’s largest aquarium, housing 100,000 marine animals, including star attractions such as hammerhead sharks.
At Adventure Cove Waterpark, thrill-seekers can ride Southeast Asia’s first magnetic roller coaster slide—the Riptide Rocket—for an exhilarating splash-filled experience, or enjoy snorkeling at Rainbow Reef. Next year, the park will also introduce immersive experiences and interactive programs with Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins. In addition, visitors can explore marine life and habitats from Southeast Asia to the Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond at S.E.A. Aquarium, which also features the world’s largest aquarium viewing panel.
Dennis Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa, noted that as the world’s largest marine ecological classroom, in addition to international research and conservation programs, it will also launch educational programs for students from preschool to university level.
