Winter in Korea offers a silver-white wonderland and skiing fun, attracting many visitors each year. To promote Korea’s rich winter travel offerings and unique ice festivals, the Korea Tourism Organization will hold the “2012 Korea Skiing & Winter Festival Carnival” on December 15–16, 2012, at the circular plaza on the first floor of Pacific SOGO in Kaohsiung. Over the two-day event, you can make your own mini snowman, experience simulated ice fishing, and write wish cards to enter a plane ticket draw—perfect for family fun.

During the snowy season, kids love building snowmen—and this event offers free snowman-making experiences, with a limit of 15 participants per session. One of the most exciting parts of Korea’s winter festivals is ice fishing on frozen lakes, and the event will feature a simulated ice fishing experience for all to try. Plus, just write a wish card for the Mountain-River-Fish Festival at the event to join the lucky draw: on the evening of December 15 at 19:30, digital photo frames and LED speakers will be given away; on the evening of December 16 at 18:30, one round-trip plane ticket from Kaohsiung to Cheongju on Far Eastern Air will be drawn.
