Xu Zheng-long, Director of the Northeast Coast and Yilan National Scenic Area Administration, said that the fifth edition of the Northeast Coast “Welcome the Dawn, Win at the Start” concert will not only feature the highly anticipated main stage performances but also the “Dawn Fashion Avenue” on Azure Boulevard and Rainbow Bridge, created with laser lights and light sculpture technology, which is sure to dazzle the crowds. Online registration for the 2013 Northeast Coast “Welcome the Dawn, Win at the Start” event will start at 9:00 AM on December 14. Participants can register on the event website, and the first 1,000 successful registrants will receive a First Financial Group complimentary Dawn Gift (including round-trip train tickets between Taipei and Fulong, a dawn commemorative scarf, and a breakfast voucher). Train tickets can be collected on December 24 and 25, 2012, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, by presenting an ID-bearing document and the successful registration confirmation number in person at the First Financial Group building. Before the event, participants can also join the dawn games on the event website— the first 200 winners will receive a “Happy First Fortune Bag,” and the first 100 to visit the photo check-in area on the day of the event and upload their photos to Facebook will get a “Happy Warm Glow Gloves.”
Taiwan Railways also added extra trains to accommodate the dawn festivities, with services departing from Banqiao, Taipei, and Songshan stations starting at 1:45 AM on January 1 until 2:30 AM, heading directly to Fulong. Meanwhile, Fleur de Chine Hotel Fulong Branch will waive admission fees from midnight on December 31, 2012, to noon on January 1, 2013. Additionally, those presenting the Dawn Festival DM can enjoy various perks in the Northeast Coast area, including a 40% discount on accommodation at Longmen Camping Area on December 31, 2012, and an 20% discount on hot spring baths at Dragon Cave Four Seasons Bay from December 31, 2012, to January 2, 2013.
