Challenge a robot to a basketball shootout at the Taipei Robot Museum during Lunar New Year

The "Taipei Robot Museum," jointly established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taipei City Government, has officially opened in the Xinsheng Park area of the Taipei Expo Park. In addition to showcasing a variety of intelligent automation products developed in Taiwan, the museum also features rare intelligent robots rarely seen internationally. The museum has seven major exhibition zones, including 60 button-activated robots and several rare and valuable Gundam robots. A 3-meter-tall Shenlong Gundam robot at the entrance is particularly eye-catching.

The museum's "101-3D Theater" uses 3D projection to depict the essence of Taipei, featuring a "violin-playing robot" developed using domestically produced key components such as linear guides, which plays live music on demand, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of combining robotics with human culture. The "Industrial Robot Exhibition Area" mainly displays various robots transformed from industrial robotic arms, including textile robots and sketching robots. Among the most unique is the "snake-style hook shot basketball robot" developed by ITRI, which has shooting accuracy comparable to that of a national basketball player and is specially open for visitors to compete in a one-on-one basketball shoot-out challenge during the Lunar New Year period.

The "Robot Interaction Zone" lets audiences feel like they're in the movie Real Steel with its combat robots, along with fun rock-paper-scissors robots, pull-up bar robots, soccer match robots, and robots that can imitate visitors' movements, adding to the interactivity and enjoyment. The "Floating Robot Theater" uses 3D floating projection virtual imagery paired with four fully authentic robots—including a band robot, an indigenous robot, a San Taizi robot, and a cheerleading robot—performing dances for a virtual reality spectacular. From February 10th to February 24th, limited slots of the "Green City LEGO" LEGO energy-saving city challenge experience activity will be offered every weekend, allowing children to control robots themselves to complete energy-saving city renovation tasks.
