The Love River Railway Bridge Rock 'n' Roll Light and Sound Show, Tunnel Light Tube Art Is Super Eye-Catching

As the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival approaches the climax of the Lantern Festival, a variety of related events have also been launched. The Love River Railway Bridge, usually open for leisurely strolls and cycling, has been transformed with the latest "tunnel light tube art" into Taiwan's first-ever "Dios Mio Amazing Light and Sound Theater," becoming the most eye-catching highlight of this year’s Kaohsiung Lantern Festival Art Festival. It ensures the festival offers more than just dazzling fireworks in the sky—walking through the starlight tunnel, with brilliant lights twinkling around you, makes for an especially striking nighttime spectacle.

"Dios Mio" means "Wow!" or "Amazing!" in Spanish. The design employs dazzling "tunnel light tube art," transforming the railway bridge—normally used by pedestrians and cyclists—into a sea of lights tunnel using LED lights, presenting a dreamy purple-hued wonderland of light and shadow. This is enhanced by light tube technology that creates various colorful light scenes synchronized with music rhythms, along with animations of various sea creatures loved by children swimming through the light-filled tunnel, attracting visitors to stop and admire.

 

From now until February 23, there will be a light and sound show at 19:00, 20:00, and 22:00 each evening on the railway bridge. On February 24, Lantern Festival Day, there will also be shows at 20:00 and 22:00. These feature the rock rhythm of the European band Europe’s hit song "The Final Countdown," paired with large laser spotlights sweeping the harbor from different angles, creating refracted light effects with the surrounding glass-curtain-wall buildings, delivering a feast for the eyes and ears. The animated shows inside the bridge will run on a loop from 18:00 to 22:00 every evening from now until February 24, featuring animations of the underwater world celebrating the New Year.
