The Android version of “Taipei Good Trip” has completed the addition of the sightseeing spots feature in “YouBike,” enabling the public to use YouBike to explore Taipei’s sightseeing spots. The iOS and Windows Phone versions are scheduled to go live by the end of April. “Taipei Good Trip” is the first to integrate YouBike with sightseeing spot information, a cross-agency collaboration between the Department of Transportation and the Department of Information and Tourism, combining the eco-friendly transportation method beloved by citizens—YouBike—to promote tourism in Taipei and encourage visitors to discover the city more deeply.

Taipei’s YouBike system currently has 62 stations and over 2,132 bicycles, with daily usage repeatedly hitting new highs. On weekdays, usage has exceeded 25,000 rides, and on holidays, it has surpassed 27,000 rides. This shows that YouBike has become an essential tool for commuting and leisure. More stations are planned near MRT stations, bus stops, and other transport hubs as well as in areas with high foot traffic.
The “Taipei Good Trip” app is the first to combine YouBike with sightseeing spots. Users simply need to open the YouBike map in “Taipei Good Trip,” select the sightseeing spots layer, and they can access real-time YouBike information (available bikes and parking spaces) around their current location. They can also browse nearby famous tourist attractions and check information such as opening hours, addresses, phone numbers, and brief introductions.

Ride a YouBike through the streets of Taipei, visit tourist attractions, and explore alleyway culture. With “Taipei Good Trip,” you can plan your own mini-trip. We invite everyone to follow “Taipei Good Trip” and experience a different side of Taipei. Additionally, the Taipei Tourism website offers versions in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. Foreign tourists are welcome to visit the site for more travel information. In the future, “Taipei Good Trip” will offer features such as searching for sightseeing spots and planning YouBike-based travel itineraries, making it easy for the public to hop between various attractions on YouBike.
