The East Coast Music Festival Features Sodagreen and Fish Leong in Taitung

Following the Northern Gongliao, Southern Chunna, and Kaohsiung’s Harbor Music Festivals, the eastern region is not to be outdone. The Taitung County Government and the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration will jointly host the “Hello Taitung！2013 East Coast Music Festival.” This year, the main events of the music festival will take place on April 26 and April 27 at Taitung City’s Seaside Park. To connect coastal tourism, a Dawn Music Concert will be specially held at Chenggong’s Sanxiantai, and a workshop will be organized at Xiaoyeliu. The event site will also feature local culinary specialties, souvenirs, and handmade crafts markets, making it the largest-scale music event in eastern Taiwan.

The biennial East Coast Music Festival will be held earlier this year on April 26 and 27. The entire music festival is planned around the concept of connecting coastal scenic spots, with the two-day main events set in Taitung City. On the morning of April 27, a Dawn Music Concert will take place at Sanxiantai, and in the afternoon, there will be a workshop at Xiaoyeliu Recreation Area. Renowned music producers such as Teacher Wang Zhiping, Yen Wei-ling × Shangri-La, and others will be invited to share their creative journeys, filling the beautiful eastern coastline with musical notes.

 

In terms of performers, the festival has invited the iconic musical group Sodagreen and Super Idol winner Fish Leong for the first time. This year also marks the first-ever Dawn Music Concert at 5:00 AM on April 27 at the Sanxiantai Recreation Area, featuring a crossover collaboration between Asian pop piano king V.K克 and the Taitung University Wind Orchestra. They will welcome Taiwan’s first ray of sunlight on the main island with the most beautiful melodies, alongside other groups such as Super Idol’s Jiang Mingjuan, Golden Melody Award-winning group Nanwang Sisters, Mowang Avenue’s popular act Echo, Starlight’s powerhouse Qiu Haoxiang, Wu Yingjing, and other outstanding and emerging musicians from Taitung. The free stage will feature performances by Deerhorn Band, Lanxin Band, Black Kids Band, and Original Flavor Brewing Band, creating Taitung’s vibrant spirit of musical legacy. The event site will also host a handmade crafts market, showcasing artisans’ craft products.

 

Additionally, the Taitung County Tourism Association is holding its first-ever Local Specialty Food and Souvenir Exhibition, gathering 40 well-known local food and souvenir vendors for on-site sales. Visitors can purchase a variety of representative Taitung souvenirs and handicrafts all in one place during the event. This music festival also collaborates with travel agencies to launch tour packages.
