The much-talked-about Taipei International Tourism Expo will grandly open tomorrow (May 24). As summer vacation approaches, various travel operators are offering a range of family travel discounts, allowing parents to save while ensuring kids have a great time. Doraemon Science Park in Hsinchu is offering a 56% discount on tickets during the expo period. Accommodation is slashed to 3.8% of the original price—originally 5,200 NTD, now just 1,990 NTD at the expo, plus a bonus gift package worth 1,700 NTD that includes two tickets, breakfast, and a nighttime DIY voucher.

Various resorts and boutique hotels are also launching accommodation discounts to ensure the whole family can enjoy a relaxing and pleasant trip. The four-person family room at Shinkei Resort in Ruisui, Hualien, is originally priced at 10,880 NTD, but is available for just 5,438 NTD at the exhibition. The combined family suite package for four people from the Chii Lai Cultural & Creative Resort Group—including Chiayi Business Hotel, Tamsui Breeze, and Taichung Bird’s Day—is available at a special exhibition price of 3,999 NTD. In southern Taiwan, the Kenting Turning Point Boutique Resort in Kenting offers a four-person stay originally priced at 8,960 NTD, now limited to 3,999 NTD during the expo, and an extra 1 NTD gets you a water activity combo (snorkeling + speedboat + banana boat ride).

 

Yu Zhen Travel Agency is offering a limited-time two-day-one-night family trip deal for four people to offshore islands during the expo. Orchid Island is originally 6,750 NTD, now starting from 4,999 NTD per person; Little Liuqiu is originally 2,500 NTD, with a special limited price of 1,999 NTD per person; Green Island is originally 2,900 NTD, now discounted to 70% off at 1,999 NTD per person.
