Married Couples Only: Free Guam Trip & Saying “I Do” Again

As a top choice for weddings or honeymoons, Guam offers an unparalleled romantic atmosphere. Likewise, for married couples of all ages, Guam boasts rich cultural heritage, diverse water activities, and a comfortable shopping environment, making it the ideal place to renew wedding vows and share these precious moments with family. Yan Defen, representative of the Guam Visitors Bureau Taiwan Office, said: “One of the goals of the ‘Say I Do Again’ campaign is to highlight the value of marital commitment. Aside from registering to join, we also encourage the public to sign up their parents or even grandparents and help them campaign!”

 

The “Say I Do Again” competition, hosted by the Guam Visitors Bureau and co-organized by Ward Pitts Weddings, will award the winning couple a five-day, three-night Guam vow renewal trip worth over NT$200,000. The package includes round-trip flights between Taipei and Guam for two, three nights’ stay at a premium hotel, and a vow renewal ceremony at the popular “Blue Aster Chapel,” known for its breathtaking ocean views. The package also covers a full set of wedding services including hair, makeup, attire, bridal photography, and wedding video recording.

This campaign is open to married couples or former couples hoping to reconcile. Participants must upload a sweet photo of the couple and explain why they deserve to win the grand prize. The first phase runs from now until June 21, selecting 20 finalists based on online popularity and judging panel evaluation. Of the selection criteria, 60% is based on the emotional appeal of the story — judges will score based on the quality of the stories, photos, and videos submitted, as well as the ability to engage and attract responses from netizens. The remaining 40% comes from the number of votes received. Additionally, participants who record a video in front of the photo wall at the Guam booth (Booth No. A1414) at the Taipei Travel Fair held at Taipei World Trade Center from May 24–27 can earn extra points. The second-phase finalists will be announced on the campaign website on June 26 and interviewed before the end of June, after which the judging panel will select the final winning couple. Friends and family of participants can also join a lucky draw, with the top prize being round-trip Taipei–Guam tickets for attending the ceremony.
